Students, staff, and faculty at Saint Paul College come from diverse backgrounds. With this 常见的书 we make connections between our courses and significant issues such as poverty, economic exploitation, and desperate choices.​

The purpose of the 常见的书 is to build community and invite further engagement in our college core values of excellence, 完整性, 和尊重. We invite you to read this year’s book, join in discussions, and participate in our events.

February 28th: Christine Michels, Director of Housing Stability and Opportunity
This session will highlight the mission of Catholic Charities and their housing stability programs in collaboration with Dorothy Day Place.

March 6th: Cori Lin, artist - Renter Power! 壁画
The artist will showcase her "Faces of Renting" project and 壁画 on the Midtown Greenway in Minneapolis.

March 13th: Chad Dull, VP of Academics at Minnesota State College Southeast – Poverty 信息rmed Practices in Higher Education
Dr. Dull will share a mindset and practices for minimizing barriers for students who are affected by the daily impacts of poverty.

March 27th: Matt Eichenlaub, Housing Attorney – HOME line
Learn about tenants' rights and advocacy 服务s offered by this Bloomington based non-profit.

All sessions will be from 10:00am - ​10:50am in 2225. Light refreshments will be served. All Saint Paul College employees and community members are welcome!
